We welcome the warming temps and the more active fish. Even though
the action has been somewhat inconsistent we have seen many, many
big Snook and Reds cruising the shallows and the Mangroves. We have
caught some slot and over Snook on DOA Shrimp and Yo-Zuri 3d Minnows
. Reds have been taken on the DOA 1/4 Oz Shrimp in Gold and Glow.
Most of these fish were taken in 2 ft of water or less. An abundance
of Ladyfish along with Trout, Jacks, Bluefish and some Sheepshead
and Snapper have been mixed in. We have also
had pretty good luck on the Fly for the above species. In the
Sebastian river Snook, Tarpon and LM Bass have begun to bite better
as was witnessed by a 20 Snook 3 Bass and 1 Tarpon day about a week
ago. Now we get into May and better Snook and Tarpon days will
be the order. The temps and the action will heat up together
! . I
live to fish and hope to fish for life
